I ran my first and only marathon over twelve years ago, right after my daughter was born, to support the American Cancer Society.  This November I plan to return to New York to raise money for Team Mission, a nonprofit organization that supports cancer survivors between the ages of 12-39.  I will be running on behalf of Morgan and Maya.  I hope you take a moment to read their stories below. With one of my girls going to Morgan's high school next year, and another who's a ten year old gymnast, I'm honored to support a local mission that continues to grow on a national level.  I hope you'll consider making a donation, any amount is appreciated!

Morgan

Student. Athlete. Fighter. Friend. Morgan Galdenzi is the complete package. There’s no keeping this irrepressible young woman down.

Diagnosed with a brain tumor at 16 years old, she went on to graduate with honors from her Connecticut high school in 2015.

Maya

From the age of 5 I had been competing in gymnastics. So, at the age of 9 when my knee was in pain and my leg was a little swollen, I just assumed it was an insignificant injury that I had gotten while doing gymnastics. At a certain point, my leg was causing me too much pain to just ignore. So my parents brought me to the doctor who diagnosed me with osteosarcoma.
