The Silences are riding in the CT Challenge Bike Event on July 31st. We hope you will join us by supporting our ride with a donation that will help cancer survivors of all ages.

We are cancer survivors. All of us. After BOTH Laura and Mark were diagnosed with cancer in August of 2019, the whole family had to learn how to survive. We had a lot of help from our friends, our extended family, from our health care providers, and from so many people who recognize that cancer is something that can be survived and that we all survive together.

We are also riding for those people who have not survived. There are so many friends and family whose memories survive even if we are deprived of their presence and their company. Part of the responsibility we feel as survivors is to honor those memories and to help them survive.

Funds raised by the CT Challenge provide exercise, nutrition and mind-body programming to survivors across America. The Adventure Project provides confidence-building experiences to young adults while helping them to envision and achieve their goals.

The programs funded by the CT Challenge Ride are delivered through Mission, a holistic resource designed for cancer survivors to live life vibrantly. Mission exists to inspire everyone who has stared down cancer to live a fuller life, with newfound strength and purpose. There are no limits. See more at

You can make a secure online donation here or by clicking on the "Donate Now" button, printing out a donor form and sending it in with a check. Thank you so much. Together, we're changing lives.
