My father, Rich "Tiny" "Ricardo" "Richie" Coyle was a lover of many things: spending time with his family, trips to the beach, when the hydrangeas bloomed, the occasional dip in the pool, a cold beer, and any athletic event he could cheer on. Having spent many years on the sidelines and in the stands, from childhood games to his beloved Boston College Eagles, it is only fitting that his legacy is kept alive in athletic competition. Join me and Team Rich Coyle in supporting the annual CT Challenge bike ride to honor and celebrate the memory of a loving husband, father, uncle, brother, son, and friend.
The CT Challenge bike ride helps fund scholarships, exercise/nutrition programs, and experiences for cancer patients and survivors across America through the nonprofit organization Mission. Mission exists to inspire patients and survivors to live a fuller life, with newfound strength and purpose. Cancer affects patients and their families in more ways than one. Mission fights to address not only the physical and emotional burden, but the economic hardship that typically coincides.
I have personally witnessed this pain and struggle in the familial battle with cancer when my father was diagnosed with a stage 5 glioblastoma in January 2015, and ultimately passed away later that year. To honor his fight, and to fight for those still staring down cancer, I will be riding across Connecticut on July 30th to support Mission and help fund ongoing efforts to improve life with and after cancer.
I hope you will support my efforts by making a secure online donation by clicking on the "Donate Now" button or by printing out a donor form and sending it in with a check (click here for the form). Thank you so much. Together, we're changing lives.
