For the 6th year in a row I am riding in the Ct Challenge. This year we have a team called "Just Beat It" with 7 riders. Each of us has committed to riding 100 miles in one day through the hills of Connecticut at the end of July. While the combination of one of the most challenging 100 mile rides in New England coupled with the summer heat always make this a tough day, nothing compares to the challenges facing cancer survivors. Beating cancer is just the beginning. Adjusting life styles and managing through the side effects of the battle are lifelong.
The programs funded by the Ct Challenge Ride were renamed Mission in 2017 to better reflect its national leadership. The Mission supports cancer survivors of all ages - from summer camps for children to programs in exercise and nutrition at the groundbreaking Mission Training Center. It exists to inspire everyone who has stared down cancer to live a fuller life, with newfound strength and purpose. There are no limits. (See more at www.yourmission.org)
You have been super generous supporting my ride in the past and I hope I can count on you once again. You can support my efforts by making a secure online donation by clicking on this link (https://ctchallenge.donordrive.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=donate.participant&participantID=12312 ) or by printing out a donor form and sending it in with a check (click here for the form, https://assets.donordrive.com/ctchallenge/files/$cms$/100/1005.pdf ). Thank you so much. Together, we're changing lives.
Last year The Ct Challenged raised over $2 million. We hope to greatly surpass that this year.
